Mike started The British Butcher Shop as he and his Foodie friends could not find the quality of meat that they wanted in the UAE.
So using his UK contacts Mike set out to find the best meat at the best prices. Mike sources the product by visiting the farms himself to ensure standards are met.
All the British Pork on offer is Outdoor Reared in Suffolk or Free Range from Yorkshire. These farms are all Red Tractor & RSPCA approved.
This Rare Breed Free Range Pork is made by crossing Berkshire and Duroc pigs. The Duroc breed gives the pork fine slivers of marbling through the meat and the Berkshire gives the pork that fantastic flavour.
At The British Butcher Shop, they look after the food from the farm to the fork. They arrange the transportation from their suppliers in the UK to Dubai…yes pigs really do fly. Plus all of the butchery is carried out by our British Master Butcher Mike Barker. From cutting the steaks & chops to making the sausages & burgers.
The British Butcher Shop then delivers direct to the customer using their own refrigerated branded vehicles together with their own trained drivers.

“We don’t sell mass produced sausages and burgers, we make our own from scratch, everyday, using 100% British pork shoulder and belly meat as this gives the best taste & texture. We never use undisclosed meat trim or frozen/defrosted pork.”
By keeping it old school when it comes to packaging, The British Butcher Shop also ends up being kinder to the environment. "We are aiming to be as plastic and polystyrene free as we can be when it comes to our footprint in Dubai".
